Engine faults

Problems are annoying when they appear suddenly and prevent you from driving. However, often the problem is much smaller than you might think. In the best case scenario, they can be fixed the same day. On this page, we'll explain some common problems, what causes them, and how to fix them.

Powers are lost

Possible causes: Piston rings worn - Compressions weak

Solution: Check the piston rings and compressions. If the compressions are very small and/or the piston rings are worn, measure the exact diameter of the cylinder and order a new piston set.

Oil is leaking from the engine

Possible causes: Clutch cover gasket worn - Leaking engine gaskets

Solution: Clean the engine and check where the oil is leaking from. Replace the leaking gasket/other leaking part.
